Nosson Dovid Rabinowich Gets Engaged with Ms. Marcy Katz

It is with great happiness that Ahavath Torah Institute proudly announces that its dean, Rabbi Dr. Nosson Dovid Rabinowich, celebrated his recent engagement to Ms. Marcy Katz of Toronto at a Chanukah gathering on Monday, December 7, 2015. Ms. Katz, CEO and Founder of Binah Consulting, Inc, based in Thornhill, Ontario, Canada, is a very active member of the Chabad Flamingo community headed by its esteemed spiritual leader, Rav Mendel Kaplan, shlita.

The Chanukah gathering took place in Williamsburg, New York, the Hassidic enclave of Brooklyn, in the Nitra Hall, the former home of the founder of the Satmar Hassidut, the largest Hassidic sect in New York City, Grand Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum, of blessed memory. Rabbi Rabinowich felt blessed to celebrate in this location as he felt particularly close to the Grand Rabbi who was his relative.
At this happy event, “words” of support, love, holiday insights and marriage reflections were offered by four distinguished speakers (in speaking order):
  1. Rav Meir Fund, a prominent rabbi in Flatbush and a very close friend of Dr. Rabinowich.
  2. Rav Pesach Korb, the distinguished rabbi of Congregation Beth Israel where Rabbi Rabinowich prays every day, and is a close friend.
  3. Rav Yakov Yitzchak Rabinowich, the esteemed Grand Rabbi of Dinov, the beloved first cousing of Dr. Rabinowich.
  4. Rav Menachem Mark, Rosh Yeshiva Ruach Ha’Torah in Flatbush and Rabbi Rabinowich’s best friend.
Chaim Karpin, an acclaimed violinist provided musical entertainment while Micky Montal, the popular chef and caterer, and the long-time food manager for Jewish Heritage Tours to Spain and Morocco, set up a gorgeous buffet including fresh handmade latkas that were enjoyed by all.
Although Ms. Katz is from Toronto, her family from Manhattan and her close friends from Crown Heights and New Jersey attended the L’Chaim to show their love and support for the very popular Ms. Katz.
We are all looking forward to the wedding, Amen.
